Federal Highways and the Federal Employees: the Republican Solution

The federal gasoline tax is 18.4 cents per gallon for gas and 22.4 cents per gallon for diesel. This tax does not include the other taxes by the states and local communities. This federal tax is not generating the $260 billion GOP needs for a proposed highway construction and transit program! The cars are more efficient and people are not buying more gas. The GOP has a solution. They want to get the money from the federal employees. How? They suggest the federal employees should contribute 1.5 percent more of their monthly income for their retirement. At present the retirement benefit is calculated based on the average salary of the last five years of the service. The GOP has proposed to base the retirement benefit for the new employees based on the average salary of the last three years of the service. Do you hate all Iranians?

October 1, 2007 At a recent meeting between high ranking Defense Department officials and British Parliamentarians at the Pentagon, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Coalition Affairs Debra Cagan remarked, "In any case, I hate all Iranians." The incident was confirmed by three of the visiting MPs present at the meeting. Should the President of the United States allow this person to be a member of our United States government? The inaction of German citizens to stop genocide during the World War II contributed to the brutal death of millions of people. Do something about promoter of hate in the United States! We can't let this happen once more!

February 29, 2016 The Iran–Iraq War was an armed conflict between the Persians and many of the Sunni Arabs Nations. The war was assisted directly by the United States and some of the European countries, lasting from September 1980 to August 1988. It was the 20th century’s longest conventional war. The conflict resulted in death of over 500,000 Iranians and injuring millions. Why are we supporting the same countries that attacked Iran during 1980?  During the conflict, Syria steadfastly stood by Iranians during the conflict.
